Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Regarding Batista, it's being said that no matter what happens he will be coming back to WWE at some point, possibly soon. Recent discussions of his future with the company have simply been to discuss the possibility that he'll be leaving sooner than expected. This could very well lead to a retirement match at WrestleMania 31, though it's still early.
- Despite some talk of the possibility that WWE would be changing what pay-per-view shows are offered on the Network, including WrestleMania 31 next year, there are apparently no plans in place to make any changes right now.
- There was a dark match last night at the SmackDown tapings that featured Big E and Kofi Kingston teaming together against Slater Gator. Xavier Woods was ringside. In addition, E and Kofi were wearing matching tights. The New Nation isn't dead yet.
- Regarding the talk of TNA getting offers from Discovery's VELOCITY channel, it's apparently a worst case scenario and if it were to happen the company would face so many cutbacks it wouldn't be the same company.
- Jeff Jarrett is apparently in the process of scouting potential arenas for TV tapings. There's also word that negotiations for a TV deal are ongoing, just incredibly slow.
