Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Remember The Shield reunion talk for late next year? There may be a teaser for that planned for the Royal Rumble, or at least a spot where the ring consists only of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.
  • Reigns, by the way, is the (way too early) favorite to win that match on his way to winning the WWE world heavyweight title at WrestleMania 31.
  • The reason John Cena has run afoul of The Authority is because Triple H will reveal that his Plan B after Battleground is to bring back Brock Lesnar. That's how they'll get to SummerSlam. It's probably far more interesting to see how they book Reigns in the Fatal 4-Way title match.
  • Chris Jericho might be working with The Miz at Battleground to save his pending match with Bray Wyatt for SummerSlam. Jericho vs. Miz is advertised for tonight's episode of Raw in Montreal.
  • How's this for a wild number: $20 million. That's apparently the amount of money Vince McMahon has demanded they cut back on financially.
  • Adam Rose is apparently very close to being sent back down to NXT. Initial buzz over his theme song getting over has faded quickly. The match against Damien Sandow at Money in the Bank may have been his last chance to catch on in front of a PPV audience and he didn't. So, for those who predicted he would be on Superstars by SummerSlam, you might be dead on the money.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
