Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Big Show as at Raw but not used Monday and he appeared in a dark match segment at the SmackDown tapings last night. He'll be back on television sooner rather than later.
- Roman Reigns was apparently scheduled to wrestle Rusev at Raw on Monday but they re-wrote it at the last minute and had him do the 2-on-1 handicap match with Kane and Randy Orton while Rusev worked with Great Khali -- himself originally booked to rematch Bo Dallas -- in a late slot to simmer down Lana after the Battleground promo.
- Speaking of Lana and Rusev, there have been rumors going around that WWE is just going to drop the duo but that doesn't appear to be the case. There was a plan to drop the feud with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, but they changed their mind on that.
- Chris Jericho wasn't at Monday Night Raw this week. The segment shown on television was actually taped the night before in Tampa at Battleground. This was done so Jericho could go off to do promotional work for his band, Fozzy, and the album they just released yesterday, Do You Wanna Start a War.
- TNA is still negotiating with Spike TV on a new television deal and the company is hoping it will be able to announce something within the next month. So apparently the Vince Russo news didn't affect anything.
