Who Gets the Biggest Push? Hint: LOLCENALOL

Here at cSs, laughing, crying and being pissed off about the constant success of John Cena has been a favorite past time for as long as I have been a member here. Sure he is the face of the company. The man that sells the most tickets and gets the most eyes on the screen, which in turn helps the company survive and grow (or crumble depending on the rumors you choose to believe.)

I certainly dont mind the man winning. He busts his butt more than anyone in the company and he deserves every dollar Vince pays him. I was always under the impression that he doesnt win nearly as much as we think he does, but that we just notice his wins more than his loses. After Battleground last night I wanted to put a mathematical formula on the LOLCENAWINS! phenomena to see if Cena really does win as much as we think he does, or if we are just a bunch of over critical smarks.

I came up with a simple formula that allows us to look at how much each WWE Superstar has been pushed since January of 2012. I could have gone back farther but 2 1/2 years seems like a good amount of time. We will also only be looking at Pay Per Views since those are the most important parts of WWE story telling. The formula is a points based system. Each Superstar will be given points based on these factors:

- 1 point for a PPV win

- 2 points for being in a PPV main event / an additional 2 points for a PPV main event win for a total of 4 points

There are four matches in the calendar year that put a Superstar directly in the spotlight for a WWE title run or into the spotlight at WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble, The main event of WrestleMania, The Streak at WrestleMania and Money in the Bank contract match. For the reasons I pointed out I gave extra points for these matches:

- 3 points for winning Money in the Bank

- 5 points for winning the Royal Rumble

- 3 points for facing The Streak at Wrestlemania / Taker gets an automatic 2 points for the match

- 5 points for main eventing Wrestlemania / 5 additional points for winning the main event at Wrestlemania for a total of 10 points

Lets get started! Here are the top 10 Superstars WWE has pushed since January 2012.

Johne Cena 64 pts

Daniel Bryan / Randy Orton 38 pts

CM Punk 33 pts

The Rock 23 pts

Roman Reigns / Seth Rollins 18 pts

Brock Lesnar / Kane 15 pts

Dean Ambrose / Cesaro 14 pts

Thats right folks. John Cena has 64 points while the next closest competitors are Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton with 38 points! WHAT?! Thats a dfference of 26 points. You would have to add the combined push of both Dean Ambrose AND Cesaro to Randy Orton or Daniel Bryan to total Cena. Thats insane.

Looking at this gives us a pretty clear idea that it really is LOLCENAWINS! behind the scenes and it isnt going away anytime soon. I'm not knocking the guy. Certainly he deserves everything he has gotten in his career and he should be very proud of his career which will probably go down as the greatest of all time if its not already. However, it is easy to see how fans can feel like its Cena overload at times.

Some interesting notes:

- Sheamus had 13 points, barely missing the top 10. The Miz was right behind him with 10 points.

- Bray Wyatt is relatively new to the main roster but already has 8 points. He could be in the top 10 within the year.

- Y2J, my favorite wrestler of all time, had only 4 points before last night. Both of which were from main eventing an event. Last night was his first PPV win since 2011.

- It is kind of sad that a guy like The Rock has 23 points and is 5th on the list after working only 4 events in 2 1/2 years. We all love The Rock and I am super glad that he was able to make the transition to main stream media but it just kind of sucks that he took guys spots that work year round like CM Punk. Punk deserved a main event at Mania and no doubt left due to outsiders coming in. Love the Rock on the mic and his in ring work is very good but he is one of the biggest actors on the planet right now so he doesn't need the money. This means he is doing it for the love of the game so to speak. I'm glad he come back for that instead of him being broke. I still get excited about The Rock tho so I wont complain about him coming back for big events. Just wish he wasn't taking cherished main event spots away form guys like Bryan and Punk and so on.
