The Other Guy.

The recent hiring of KENTA by WWE made me ecstatic, along with much of the IWC community, and despite the potential mismanaged booking, I personally can’t wait to see him in the ring.

But KENTA getting all the media attention made me remember another wrestler from the land of the rising sun: Katsoyuri Shibata.

He’s much like KENTA, if not very underrated even in the IWC. But you see his style of wrestling and all you can say is "Shit, this guy must be a real prick".

He doesn't kick to inflict pain, but to kill. Or at least that’s what it looks like. Add to that an amateur wrestling background (national level, I might add) and some MMA bouts-not very successful in that respect, but hey, it counts- and you have a man with all the marketable qualities and skills to be a star. Unfortunately, that hasn't worked out quite well. But this guy is in every respect one of the best brawlers I've seen in the recent years.

Here’s his match against Tomohiro Ishii.

12 and a half minutes of stiff kicks and locks.

Wrestling heaven.
