Hollywood J Blaq Presents: WWE's Next Great Rivalries

I was watching the WWE Network, and I got caught up in the Beyond The Ring special on Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I got to thinking about some of the rivalries I grew up watching, from Hulk Hogan vs. Macho Man Randy Savage to recent rivalries like John Cena vs. Randy Orton.

Having a hot rivalry has always been a key cog in running a successful wrestling program.

So I started thinking: what can we foresee as some of the next great WWE rivalries? Well, as your resident WW-IF writer, I have the special power to see into the future I like to experiment with alternate wrestling, past, present, and future. As such, I want to take the time, and tell you my top 5 future rivalries in the WWE.

Let's begin!

#5: Sami Zayn vs Corey Graves

I know what you're thinking: "Why not Zayn vs Cesaro, Hollywood? Sacrilege I say!"

Give me a chance to explain.

The happy go lucky, always smiling Sami Zayn is a perfect proxy to the unhappy, chaotic Corey Graves. They have good chemistry in the ring, and Graves' striking/submission style repertoire is a great matchup for Zayn's high flying/technical moveset. It's a story that writes itself, and is perfect for a race to the NXT Championship and even an upper-mid-card program.

#4.The Usos vs The Wyatts

In the tag team division, there are no higher expectations right now than The Usos vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan. The high-flying Usos are a perfect match for the big hosses of the Wyatt Family. But what makes this even more interesting? The fact that Luke Harper can hang with The Usos in the high risk department. Check this out:

I think these two will go back and forth for the WWE Tag Team Championships for years to come.

#3 Antonio Cesaro vs Wade Barrett vs Sheamus

So who at this point doesn't think that these three "Very European" men's futures are forever intertwined? Cesaro going after either the Intercontinental Champonship or the US Championship is a foregone conclusion at this point. And with Cesaro's tweener status and Paul Heyman as a mouthpiece, he is sure to get under the skin, albeit on a permanent basis, with both competitors. Since 2009, they have dominated the mid-card, and they seem to be on a collision course with each other in the near future, which should lead to some excellent matches.

#2 John Cena vs. Bo Dallas

This one right here is a personal favorite of mine. The General of the Cenation says the future runs through him. Bo Dallas wants you to be a BO-liever and BO-lieve in him. Its like John Cena is watching Alternate Universe John Cena on the other side of the mirror.

Essentially it's a story waiting to be told.

Bo Dallas has that natural ability to get under your skin, and his resolve is unbreakable. Even under duress his character never misses a beat. I say if you want to see if John Cena truly becomes a monster, put him against this man.

He may just drive him crazy.

#1 Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler

If this isn't a rivalry by the end of this year I will be surprised.

These two men's backgrounds are exactly polar opposite. One is an indie darling, a vegan, family man who is extremely over and cares about the fans. The other was brought up in the system, a partying showoff, ladies man with bleach blonde hair and cares about himself first. But their similarities are striking too. Both were screwed out of their first world title reign, both are extremely over with the fans, and both have feuded with each other over mid card titles. An Evolution alignment would be a godsend for Dolph Ziggler, and give Daniel Bryan an equally capable worker to build a long term program with.

Cagesiders, I am ecstatic to hear what you think some long term rivalries we will see in the future. Who do you think The Shield will feud with? What about Bray Wyatt?
