Intercontinental Title vs. US Title: Which Championship Is Really More Prestigious?

WWE.com

Since the merger of the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship a few months ago, a slow reformation has been taking place with the company's two lesser singles titles.

Both the Intercontinental (IC) Championship and the United States (US) Championship have been defended recently after what seemed like years of being inactive props around the waists of the likes of Dean Ambrose and Big E.

With the new champions of the IC and US titles -- Bad News Barrett and Sheamus, respectively -- looking to bring back the glory of the mid-card belts, I thought it would be useful to look at both and figure out just which one should be the real No. 2 championship in the company.

So let's compare them, shall we?
