Report: WWE to strip Paige of NXT Women's Championship

While not official, the segment was reportedly filmed Monday night.

Mike Johnson at pwinsider.com is reporting that tonight's episode of WWE NXT will include a pre-taped segment where NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield strips Paige of her Women's championship, stating that she can not hold that belt at the same time she is the WWE Diva's champ.

The Anti-Diva is initially upset before acknowldeging that the busy schedule of a WWE champion won't allow her to defend both titles the way she would want, nor be fair to her sisters down in Florida.  The segment was apparently filmed Monday night backstage during Raw, and will be inserted into the 9PM broadcast of NXT tonight (April 24, 2014) on WWE Network.

Paige is the only woman to ever hold the NXT Women's championship, having defeated Emma for it in the finals of a tournament that ran on the show last summer.

It's expected that the next set of tapings at Full Sail (tonight in Winter Park, Florida) will begin the storyline that will lead to the second ever NXT Women's championship, possibly with another tournament.

You buying this report, Cagesiders?  Is this the right move for Paige and the women down in developmental?
