The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2013-14 Season, Week 48

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised pro wrestling shows - the March 3rd episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's Main Event, the Thursday, March 6th edition of TNA Impact, and the WWE SmackDown that aired on March 7th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

No wonder he's on a three week winning streak...

Look at those nips!

• Even tapping out in the Chamber match wasn't enough to dull your enthusiasm for The Swiss Superman.

• Likewise, the more The Authority torments D-Bry, the greater our love for him seems to grow. Already the annual winner and closing in on 300 total Standings points!

• All three members of The Shield impressed, but none more than "The Architect", who is not only doing the bulk of the in-ring work, but is now driving their storyline.

• It should tell TNA something that the most over guys on their roster with us are two fellas that they've had on the roster forever.

• The Wyatts more than carried their end of one of the more anticipated programs in recent memory, although poor Erick Rowan gets left out in the cold (if anyone should, it's him, but he's trying, darnit!).

• The tie in seventh this week just gives me the heebie-jeebies.

The S3: 2013-14, Week 47

1. Cesaro
2. Daniel Bryan

3. Seth Rollins
4. Bobby Roode
5. Bray Wyatt

6. Luke Harper
7. (tie) Hulk Hogan

7. (tie) Christian
9. Samoa Joe
10. (tie) Roman Reigns
10. (tie) Dean Ambrose

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

The It Factor continues to creep up toward the second spot, and The Swiss Superman's run of weekly wins has him right within striking distance as well. Meanwhile, the Divas champ may not be facing repercussions for her man's absence in WWE, but she's feeling the hurt in your Standings, where she has slipped down to ninth!

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending March 1

1. Daniel Bryan - 296 points
2. Dean Ambrose - 148.1

3. Bobby Roode - 143.08

4. CM Punk - 135.1

5. Antonio Cesaro - 128.75
6. Roman Reigns - 125.25

7. Bray Wyatt - 102
8. Seth Rollins - 101.5

9. AJ Lee - 101.37

10. Paul Heyman - 78.5

Kind of a lull after the buzz of the last few weeks, but still a lot to consider. Check out our sections on each of the shows under consideration (Raw, Main Event, Smackdown, and Impact). And I promise to get a post up to decide how we'll handle next year, and especially Network content, real soon.
