WWE Main Event results, live blog for Mar. 4, 2014: Daniel Bryan vs. Kane

It's a special live edition of "Main Event" on the WWE Network. That means a special live blog with complete results for the show, including Daniel Bryan vs. Kane and The Usos vs. New Age Outlaws for the tag team titles.

WWE Main Event comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Tues., March 4, 2014) from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan, and we'll have complete results and a live blog for the show right when it kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.

That's right, folks, for the first time, Main Event is going live just before the SmackDown taping and the show is stacked. The Usos will defend the tag team titles against the New Age Outlaws and Daniel Bryan will take on Kane.

Be sure to come back here at 7 p.m. ET for the Main Event live blog.

Geno here.

Broadcast is live.

We start with an extended replay of what happened on Raw last night with Bryan and The Authority.

Daniel Bryan vs. Kane

Pretty good pop for Bryan during his entrance and a chant for him as the match starts. The commentary team puts over that Bryan is fighting desperate with the hope that it will convince Triple H to accept his challenge for a match at WrestleMania 30.

Real basic match. Bryan goes after the big man's leg and works it over in various ways, including using the ring post and doing dives and dropkicks into it. Kane sells but threatens with big boots with the other leg. He's also been in control for much of the match.

The story has become Bryan getting snuffed out on multiple comeback attempts.

Kane continued working from the position of power until the very end when Bryan ended up winning with a roll up on a reversal of a choke slam. Kane was pissed and in disbelief that he lost.

Backstage, Josh Matthews catches up with Kane. He asks if Kane is angry at himself for losing.

"No. Bryan got lucky."

Kane goes on to say he's angry that Bryan keeps asking for a match with Triple H at WrestleMania. At one point he actually called Bryan a "gargoyle", which is great because it makes me think of the awesome animated cartoon from the 90s.

Bryan doesn't even measure up to Kane, so asking for a match with Triple H is absurd and Kane is going to get him.

Or something like that.

Nikki Bella vs. Alicia Fox

Your usual Divas match with Brie and Aksana cheering on from the outside. Nikki was in control early before sgiving way to Alicia's ... we'll call it "unique" offense. Nikki has improved dramatically.

Late in the match, Aksana tried to interfere but Brie put a stop to that. Nikki made her comeback and got the win with the Shock Treatment.

Pretty good for a Divas match.

Interview with The Usos. They tell Renee Young they're going to WrestleMania.

Out come the New Age Outlaws, and they're in jeans. Road Dogg is limping. Me thinks they aren't going to deliver on the tag title match.

Road Dogg says they aren't 100-percent and because everyone deserves the rematch when they are 100-percent, they'll handle this business later.

Brad Maddox comes out and says he checked with the doctors and Road Dogg isn't lying. There is an injury, so there won't be a match against the Outlaws. There will be a title match, however, as advertised but with new opponents.

The Usos vs. Los Matadores

This match is exactly what you would think. A lot of high flying, a few big spots, and The Usos were put over big for their first win and successful title defense as tag team champions.

Big pop for The Usos win. That splash from the top rope gets better and better every time.

The Outlaws were on commentary for the match and did what they could to sell the next encounter. This was good.

On his way out, Bad Ass Billy Gunn pushed El Torito down in the ring and laughed about it. Naturally, this led to a sequence where Gunn chased him around but ended up beat up for his troubles.
