The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the one and only WrestleMania 30 event set to take place on Sun., April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, the company's annual "Showcase of the Immortals". It's the biggest show of the year.
And it will be the first PPV broadcast live on the WWE Network. Here's to hoping it goes off without a hitch.
There are only two weeks left until showtime and five matches on the card are official. Here's the updated line-up:
- Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. TBA
Batista won the Royal Rumble and Orton has been rolling around insecure about his lot in life for months now. The thing about this is neither of them are on solid footing right now because the really hot feud is the Bryan vs. Triple H program that will culminate at this event earlier in the night. The winner will be inserted into this match and no matter who it is they'll probably win. Talk about lame ducks.
- Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H
This match got a whole lot more interesting when it was announced one week that if Bryan wins, he'll be entered into the Orton vs. Batista title match. Then, it got even more interesting when Triple H revealed if he wins, he'll also be entered into the main event. There have been no less than two incredibly amazing Raw segments in this feud, two top angles in the history of the show. This should be good.
- Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
This story has changed from week to week but it's settled on a great angle. Undertaker has struggled more and more to keep the streak alive as the years have gone by. Here's the thing: the opponents he's struggled against in recent years have all been slaughtered by Lesnar. Creative liberties are being taken here, sure, but it works for a good story.
- John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
The story behind this feud has become Wyatt making it his mission to convince the masses that Cena is a phony and the message he presents to the masses on TV is bullshit. He will, apparently, die for this. So stay tuned for that!
- Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
This will feature 30 wrestlers. So far, here's who has been announced: The Miz, Goldust, Cody Rhodes, Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Sheamus, Christian, Titus O'Neil, Big Show, Damien Sandow, Big E, THE BIG GUY, Curtis Axel, Fandango, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and Mark Henry.
That's the card so far, Cagesiders. You buying?
