Shawn Michaels tried Undertaker's WrestleMania streak twice and lost both times. He wouldn't have it any other way.
Stone Cold Steve Austin never tried the streak but if WWE Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon asked him to go over "The Deadman", he would say no because there isn't enough money in the world to convince him to end the streak.
But those are all veterans who have either retired (Michaels, Austin) or are close to it (Show). What about a young upstart like Roman Reigns, who looks like he's being groomed to be the next big breakout star?
When asked if it would mean more to break the streak or win the title at WrestleMania, he told the Elvis Duran podcast:
"I'd say retaining the title while beating the streak, how about that?"
That's a great answer.
But, really, does he want to beat the streak?
"It's definitely a goal, you know what I mean? That's a cool thing. I think along with pretty much everybody else, sometimes things aren't meant to be broken. I don't know how I stand. I know if I were to compete against him, he'd get everything I got but call me a traditionalist or whatever, call me old fashioned, but something about it makes me feel like the streak should just be the streak. Some records are meant to live, maybe."
Add another one to the list, folks.
Does anyone want to see this streak broken?
