Today's rumors: Where is WWE placing the blame for Batista's poor fan response? How WWE planned to cut down on CM Punk chants, WWE trying to bring back diva, and more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • To anyone hoping that WWE will finally place some blame where it is deserved...well, I'm sorry to disappoint you. WWE officials are reportedly blaming the poor fan reaction to Batista's return on the fans. In particular, the fans in Dayton, OH (where Batista made his return on Raw three weeks ago,) are taking the brunt of WWE's fury. It is being said that the area will not likely be considered to host any pay per view events anytime soon as a result.
  • Speaking of WWE's opinion towards its fans, Randy Orton was apparently told to give his Raw-opening promo earlier this week faster than normal, so to not give the fans any chance to disrupt the show with CM Punk chants. Also, following up on yesterday's item regarding WWE ejecting fans from the show for starting CM Punk chants, it was apparently false. It was a Twitter hoax started by just a few people and quickly grew.
  • We often talk here about all of the returning stars who may be coming back for WrestleMania XXX. Now we have another to add to the ever-growing list of names: Stacy Keibler. WWE is said to have have made the former Diva, manager, and valet a large enough offer to spark her interest. It is currently being said that her role with WWE, if she does indeed return, would likely not be in an in-ring capacity. Her role would be on-screen, most likely as a valet/manager for someone leading into WrestleMania XXX. It is also believed that Keibler would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of any deal.
  • To update a few injuries, John Cena has been cleared to return to action after suffering an eye injury over the weekend. Roman Reigns suffered a gash on his head during his match on Raw which required 6 stitches to close up. Though it isn't believed that Reigns suffered a concussion during the match, he was checked for one.
  • John Gaburick has taken over a lot of duties backstage within TNA, and he has taken the brunt of the talents frustrations over the past week during their UK tour. First, he reportedly got into a heated exchange with Kurt Angle regarding Angle working against doctor's orders. Now, more surprisingly, Gaburick got into an argument with Eric Young. (Slight Impact spoiler:) Gaburick was not happy with how long Young stayed down in the ring to sell injuries following his "Monster's Ball" match with Abyss. Young, who is not normally outspoken and is well-liked by just about everyone, fired back. After the argument, the two met and have moved on.
