WrestleMania 30: What's the plan for Sheamus?

Gallo Images

The WrestleMania 30 event is now just six weeks away but plans for some top stars appear to be up in the air.

There was a time, not that long ago, that rumors had WWE hoping to set up a match between Sheamus and Daniel Bryan for WrestleMania 30 on Sun., April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then, CM Punk skipped town before Monday Night Raw after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) and that threw everything into chaos.

Current speculation has Bryan replacing Punk in a match with Triple H. Elsewhere, Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar and Batista vs. Randy Orton appear to be all but set in stone, and John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt is expected.

So where does that leave Sheamus?

He was asked about where he sees himself fitting in by our friend Matt Fowler at IGN.com:

At this point, I really don't know. I'm just focusing on the Chamber match right now and so we'll have to see what happens the next night on RAW. I mean, I've said for years that Undertaker is my dream match. But now I feel like asking for Undertaker at WrestleMania is the most cliched thing you can ever say. So I don't know if I should say it anymore. [laughs] Every time I say it, I feel like I'm getting further and further away from having a match with him. But obviously, that'd be a great match. I'd love having another go at Triple H. Daniel Bryan. Even Cena. You know Cena's never beaten me. I've taken the title off him twice. So I'd love to face John at WrestleMania 30 as well. So there are a lot of options there. I don't know what way the card's going to fall after the Chamber. You know it's such a dangerous match. It literally is a chamber of horrors. I got knocked out in my first one. It was a very, very physical match with so much at stake.

With the top four matches apparently set, Sheamus is going to have to work the undercard no matter what he's doing, assuming another catastrophic walk out doesn't happen. So who might be a good match-up for him?

Perhaps a singles showdown against Roman Reigns? Maybe a HOSS FIGHT with Mark Henry?

Something else?

Let's get your thoughts on what WWE should do with Sheamus at the "Showcase of the Immortals."
