Although the word has been out for a few weeks now, WWE made it official with an announcement on the company website today: Hulk Hogan will return to the promotion that made him a star -- and vice versa -- on the Feb. 24, 2014, episode of Monday Night Raw.
And, yes, he will be the host of WrestleMania 30.
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has returned to WWE and will host WrestleMania 30 on Sunday, April 6, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Hogan will make his long-awaited return to WWE on Monday's Raw. He will also appear on WWE Raw Backstage Pass, airing live on WWE Network immediately following Raw.
"We are thrilled that Hulk Hogan has returned home to WWE," WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon said. "It's fitting to have him help us celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania and usher in a new era with the launch of WWE Network."
The timing here is interesting if only because it's a slow Friday and you would think WWE would have been better served to announce this on this past Monday night's episode of Raw. Instead, we get a WWE.com breaking news story and only this weekend to promote what could be the biggest day in the history of the company.
Either way, Hulkamania is running wild back home, Cagesiders.
Tell me how you feel about it.
