Why I don't get why fans read spoilers, Sting's debut at Survivor Series

When I started watching NXT after the Arrival event, I decided to stop looking at spoilers for shows I was going to watch.

Usually, I would go to certain websites and click on every rumor or spoiler. I, like many of you, knew the original plan for Wrestlemania last year saw Daniel Bryan face Sheamus.

I found that kind of took the fun out of it. Raw is my weekly television show. I watch it like people watch "The Walking Dead" or "Game of Thrones" on Sundays.

Because of that, I don't think too much about what could have been done differently or what is wrong with the show. There definitely are times where I think things are done in an odd fashion, and other things are just pointless. Obviously it's different watching a show that never ends in comparison to any other episodic show that isn't a soap opera.

I did not know Sting was going to be in St. Louis last night. I thought Randy Orton was going to interfere in the main event if anyone would, with it being in his hometown and his beef with Triple H.

When the crow sound echoed throughout the arena, I got giddy with excitement. I was six when Sting beat Hollywood Hogan at Starrcade 1997. That is the reason I love this odd industry. Sting was the guy that was trying to take down the bad guys, and the story (unlike the match at Starrcade) was told very well and was captivating television.

During last night's main event, I was more glued to my iPad screen an I ever can remember for a WWE match. Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler delivered wonderful action and everyone in the match told a great story.

I see how people could complain about the lack of a card for Survivor Series, with there being only four matches I was actually interested in seeing going into the show. But the finish was a moment to remember, and those moments are why I am a wrestling fan.

When The Rock came back to confront Rusev, that was a moment. When Seth Rollins jumped off the stage and The Shield swept Evolution, that was a moment. When Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, that was a moment.

It's moments like that, which happen organically for me without any actively looking into spoilers, which make wrestling fun.

I saw what Jim Ross had to say about the event and how he wishes he wouldn't have known about Sting because it would have made the moment better. As someone who had no idea what was going to happen and understood the magnitude of Sting's appearance, I can tell you it was incredible.

Seeing people criticize the appearance, whether it be the circumstances or lighting or whatever, really is annoying. Wrestling is fun. It's ridiculous and unpredictable. I'm doing my best to keep it that way.

If you were like me and had to know everything you could about the show before it happens, I suggest you try to make a change. Moments like last night are much more fun when they catch you off guard.

If you do read spoilers and reports about the WWE before shows so you know as much as possible, I'd like to hear why you do so in the comments section. I'm not trying to sound like I'm all high and mighty for not doing it, but I've really found it to be easy to avoid doing and it has made the product much more enjoyable.
