What you loved:
- Underrated - He had some tough competition with Jim Ross and Gordon Solie, but he held up well over the years. This rings especially true when compared to today's announcers.
- Legitimacy - He did a great job of making shows feel like a big deal, particularly during the nWo story.
- Voice - Solid voice, pretty even tone, easy to pick him out when he's at the announce table.
- Play-By-Play - Somewhat mixed bag on this one. His time with Bobby Heenan was well received, though.
- "Go to Hell" - One of the best sign-offs ever.
Best comment comes via The ShockMaster:
"He was the voice of my wrestling youth – I can still hear him calling the NWA "the major league of professional wrestling" on TBS. His voice and style really lent an air of legitimacy to the proceedings, and worked perfectly as Crockett positioned himself as the home of "real wrestling" versus the increasingly more theatrical WWF."

What you loathed:
- WCW Run - He became a mouthpiece for Eric Bischoff, so this is not so much a negative towards Tony but rather what he had to do in his job. He shilled a bit too much, almost like a "Proto-Cole".
- Foley Spoiler - People are still upset he gave away Mick Foley winning the WWF title on Nitro, even though it wasn't his call to do so.
- Hyperbole - Schiavone was known to make mountains out of mole hills.
- Heenan Relationship - Admitting this himself, Schiavone was a jerk to Heenan.
- Personality - Some of you felt he got a bit of an ego, especially when WCW reached record heights.

"'Butts in seats.' It wasn’t his idea, and he apologized to Foley, but he still said it."
On to the poll! With 359 votes, Tony's average score is 3.6.
Thanks, Cagesiders! Tomorrow's pick is one of the worst ever.
Until then!
