I’ve been thinking about a Fanpost for a long time but always thought that I don’t have much to say but now’s my time to paraphrase one of Your favorite wrestlers. If this text won’t be understood or clear there are 2 reasons for that: 1st – English is not my primary language and 2nd - it’s me writing it.
We’ve been treated with Daniel Brayan for most of Year 2013 and it was his Year, no question about this. There were others who shined as well (SHIELD, Rhodes etc.) but he was on our TV always. If You go back and check I’m sure You will see his name in every episode of RAW and most of Smackdowns (I am not doing this myself but I’m sure it’s out there somewhere in the internet). He was in Title picture for few months and even though he wasn’t a Champ for long he did hit high spot. He was winning clean (except for one referee angle) and was losing "dirty" for most of times. He was booked as someone who can’t be beat in the ring during a match and who can’t be break even by all the punishment he received. After all that he was moved out of Title picture into some kind of abyss but, unlike most suggested, he was not buried and still graced us with fantastic matches and lot of airtime.
In the mean time both main titles has been unified in one… more or less. And WWE started talks about unifying US and IC title as well. That led to many of us saying "OK, but give us more stories and feuds, than". OK, so let’s take a look at DB now… isn’t that exactly what is happening? Daniel Bryan may be out of Title Picture but he stays in main picture! WWE is giving us new stories concerning him all the time. And in every story he is showing his awesomeness. And he is elevating every story, every feud and every match he is in! He is making great TV every single time he’s on.(Not saying he is doing it alone but this is about him not others).
My point is that there’s no way that anybody should say he’s being buried or not being treated well by WWE. They keep giving him prime time on TV. He’s getting spots on every PPV (and not in pre-shows). He’s taking part in every most important and most pushed feud we have. He has teamed or fight with almost every wrestler that could be named as "main player" in 2013 and he did wonders in matches with those of lesser talents. And still, he is loved in every arena he’s in.
With Titles Unification or not, we should all forget about idea of "title picture as main event" and everything else as less. We should start looking at every story as main event story – titles not required. And with 3 hours RAW (and possibly 3 hours Smackdown) and all WWE programming there’s no way there can be only one main event feuds! And I’m almost certain that Daniel Bryan will be in one of those all year round!
