If you thought it odd that The Wyatt Family would interfere in a John Cena match on Monday Night Raw that would actually help him earn a title shot, well here's some news from the SmackDown taping tonight in Toledo, Ohio, that should help cushion the blow.
They will be working a match against the team they screwed over, The Shield, at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Feb. 23, 2014, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Yes, you read that right. WWE is actually going ahead with this match before either of the two sides break up. Talk about striking while the iron is hot still exists.
Because there are three members to each team, there are some hoping/wishfully thinking that the match will take place inside the Chamber, but there is no indication just yet on whether or not that will be the case.
Stay tuned.
Here's the updated Elimination Chamber match card and line-up:
- Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Christian
- The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family
