Bold Predictions for the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV

Yes, it's almost that time of year again as the road to WrestleMania XXX kicks off with the 27th installment of the Royal Rumble which takes place on Sunday, January 26th at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Without further delay, here's what will happen:

KOFI KINGSTON WILL DO SOMETHING SPECTACULAR TO AVOID ELIMINATION

The Ghanaian high-flyer has been infamous for his innovative ways of not being eliminated, whether it's doing a handstand or jumping on the Spanish announcing table, Kingston will no doubt come up with another interesting way to avoid being eliminated from the Rumble.

ROMAN REIGNS WILL SET THE RECORD FOR MOST ELIMINATIONS

The Shield strongman has been on fire as of late, much to the chagrin of his stable mates, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and has shown it in his recent matches. Expect Reigns to get a huge push as I expect him to eliminate several Superstars in this year's Rumble match.

DIVAS GET LEFT OFF THE CARD

Even though A.J. Lee is in the midst of a feud against Funkadactyl Naomi, don't look for the Divas Championship match to take place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view due to time constraints. This particular match is best reserved for the January 27th episode of Monday Night RAW in which time will not be an issue.

THE ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH WILL NOT BE THE MAIN EVENT

This one is a no-brainer, considering that the John Cena versus Randy Orton match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is a match that is practically a WrestleMania-worthy match, so much so that nobody will this it's out of order in the card. Cena and Orton are perhaps two of the biggest draws in the WWE today, which dwarfs that of most of the other WWE Superstars (with the exceptions of CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and to a lesser extent, Daniel Bryan).

As for who I think will win the Rumble, I like a returning Undertaker to challenge Cena (who I think will win thanks to Vince McMahon). This will no doubt plant the seeds of the McMahon-Triple H power struggle storyline, which will culminate with the much-rumored CM Punk versus Triple H match at WrestleMania XXX.
