Smackdown Results and Open Thread for Sept. 27: Battleground Business

Complete results and a space to hang and goof around during tonight's (Sept. 27, 2013) episode of "Friday Night SmackDown" on the SyFy channel from Milwaukee, WI, featuring the latest machinations of HHH and the Best for Business crew.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Sept. 27, 2013) from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a taped show on the SyFy channel. We've already been promised Dolph Ziggler in a United States championship match against Dean Ambrose of The Shield. We're also bound to see the rest of The Shield, tag team champs Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, and progress the story of the "in abeyance" WWE title and the continuing feud between Rob Van Dam and Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship.

All that and more with just a little more than a week away from Battleground.

If you're the impatient type and wish to read full spoilers for the show you can find out exactly what goes down by clicking here.

Either way, come back here at 8 p.m. ET for what will most likely be the SmackDown live blog. Worst case, you'll find a list of results and some great company in the comment section.

HHH and Miz disagree about what's Best for Business (DRINK!).  To make up for the injustice that the Clevelander believes has been done to him recently, the COO gives him a fair shot at Randy Orton later in the show.

Alberto Del Rio defeated R-Truth, who was rescued by RVD.  Van Dam hit a Van Terminator on the World Heavyweight Champion and posed with the belt.  This cases Aitch and Vickie Guerrero to make their match at Battleground a Hardcore Rules match.

The Real Americans defeated The Primetime Players, and Bray Wyatt beat Zack Ryder in short matches.

Dean Ambrose versus Dolph Ziggler ended in a No Contest due to outside interference by Ambrose's buddies Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, which was responded to by Ziggler's buddies Kofi Kingston and RVD.  Hunter says if everyone wants to fight, he'll make it a six man tag RIGHT NOW!

The Shield win in their 10 gazillionth straight great six-man tag match when Dean pins Kofi.

Divas champ AJ Lee defeated Cameron and debuted Tamina Snuka as her enforcer.

Santino Marella defeated Heath Slater.

Paul Heyman reminded us that his program with CM Punk is ongoing.  Clips of the interview with the COO are shown that set-up the Rhodes family's appearance on Monday's upcoming Raw.

Miz gets beat up for about ten minutes to close the show.
