On this date in WCW history: Booker T pins Kevin Nash to win the world title

Booker T pinned Kevin Nash to win the world heavyweight championship on this date in WCW history.

I know a lot of pro wrestling fans gave up on World Championship Wrestling (WCW) by the year 2000, but for those of us who hung in there, we got to see Kevin Nash put Booker T over clean at the Fall Brawl pay-per-view (PPV) on September 17, 2000.

Booker became just the second black man in WCW history to win the heavyweight championship.

The match was nothing to write home about, nor was the ensuing title run, but it was a nice little feel good moment during a time when WCW could do absolutely nothing right.

Enjoy!
