What better time to hold court on your career and future than after you've speared the guy throwing out the first pitch at a Miami Marlins' game? Freelance MMA and Pro Wrestling journalist Rodolfo Roman had a camera and microphone ready, and provides video courtesy of his YouTube channel.
Of course, the first thing he is asked is about the rumors of his appearing at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans next Spring. And he answers, in a totally non-committal pro wrestling kind of a way:
I don't know where that rumor came from. Have I spoken to them at times? Absolutely. Is my DVD coming out - yes. Am I going to the WWE to Wrestlemania? No. But there's 8 months to Wrestlemania, right.? At this time I am not planning to be there...but you never know, things could change.
So there you have it...speculate away.
You'll also hear about his favorite opponents, how he foresaw the rise of Mixed Martial Arts (because what would an interview with a pro wrestling legend be without some ridiculous sounding self-aggrandizement?), whether or not he's interested in the WWE Hall of Fame (refer to his answer about WM30) and how he feels about the kick that played a role in the post-concussion syndrome that ended Bret Hart's in-ring career.
I feel remorseful of the kick, and though Bret and I are good friends and he doesn't hold it against me...until the day I die I'm goinna feel bad about it, and there's nothing I can do to take it back. I've explained myself millions of times. I'm remorseful...what else can I do?
I'd be interested to hear him respond to the accusations that his failure to take the figure four correctly also contributed to Hart's concussions that night. But he's right, if he and Bret have made peace, there's nothing he can do to change the past.
But enough about that - there's no way this guy's wrestling in a WWE ring again, right Cagesiders?
