Don't miss WWE's 2013 SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV)! Live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, the show is hosted by The Miz and headlined by Daniel Bryan's long-awaited WWE championship shot against John Cena. This year show also features "The Best versus The Beast", one...more...match for the World Heavyweight Championship (WHC) and much more.
The action starts Sunday, August 18 with an hour-long free streaming pre-show at 7:00PM ET/4:00PM PT, while the PPV broadcast will begin at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
For all the ways to watch this annual event, consult your cable or satellite directory, or WWE.com.
The show features
A potential changing of the guard in the WWE title match, as veteran of the independent circuit and fan favorite Daniel Bryan collides with WWE standard bearer John Cena. Chief Operating Officer HHH will serve as special guest referee to try and prevent interference from his father-in-law and Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon, who is on record as not wanting either man to hold his company's greatest prize - but he really, really doesn't want Bryan holding it.
The co-main event(s)
Brock Lesnar and CM Punk are both former WWE champions and Paul Heyman guys. But can the Straight-Edged Superstar hope to take down the former UFC Heavyweight champion, especially when he's got to keep one eye on his former best friend?
Christian has gone through injury and a long waiting game for another shot at the big gold belt. Alberto Del Rio has held it as a babyface and a villain. Is a win in Los Angeles just what the either man needs to reach new heights?
In other action
Newcomer Bray Wyatt jumps right into the fire - a Ring of Fire, to be precise, when he collides with the Devil's Favorite Demon.
Dolph Ziggler teams with Kaitlyn to face off with Divas champ AJ Lee and her friend Big E Langston in a mixed tag match with all kinds of personal history behind. In a surprising second women's match, Natalya and Brie Bella don't have quite as many skeletons, but the ones they have have been televised on E! and not kept in the closet.
Cody Rhodes believed that the blue Money in the Bank briefcase containing a guaranteed title shot for the WHC was his, until former partner Damien Sandow grabbed it for himself. Now they'll lock horns at SummerSlam.
And on the free kick-off show, Dean Ambrose will defend his United States belt against the recently returned Rob Van Dam.
