Although the WWE SummerSlam match card, scheduled for this Sun., Aug. 18, 2013, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, is already jam packed with eight bouts penciled in, according to a report from the Wrestling Observer it seems we're likely to get one more.
And for those hoping to see The Shield, you're in luck.
From today's daily update:
An angle is being shot, at least as of the current plan, during the Dean Ambrose vs. RVD U.S. title match that will either lead to a trios match involving Mark Henry & Big Show as well as Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins, or to lead to a tag team title match at the PPV. I'm not exactly clear other than all have been told they are working the show.
There's no reason to keep The Shield off the show, even if they are still dealing with lingering backstage heat from reported problems caused by injuring Undertaker and getting into shouting matches with Randy Orton. That's if all that was ever actually the case, though the booking has suggested a decreased emphasis on pushing the squad.
I suppose if all three guys drop their titles at the PPV, we'll really know where they stand, won't we?
