The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2013-14 Season, Week 18

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised pro wrestling shows - the August 5th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact from August 8th and the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday the 9th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

This tweeter gets it...

• The new #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship (WHC) gets one more win in the weekly S3 (I'd actually have to go back and check, this may be his first) narrowly edging out the Beard, who's roll in the Standings closely mirrors the one he's having on WWE television.

• The pater familias of clan Wyatt continues his impressive debut, as more time on Raw equals another nice finish right behind the top two.

• Spread out support produces a lot of ties, the first of which was in fourth place between the former partners dueling over the blue briefcase.

• A couple of WWE performance artists entertained with irony and satire, earning them a sixth place tie with TNA's Greatest Man that Ever Lived - who did more of a traditional pro wrestling piece featuring a good promo and a strong match.

• Four men split one Standings point in a tie for tenth, as, for one week at least, being the Best in the World = being AJ Lee's best friend = being the longest reigning champ in TNA history = being WHC.

The S3: 2013-14, Week 17

1. Christian
2. Daniel Bryan

3. Bray Wyatt
4. (tie) Cody Rhodes
4. (tie) Damien Sandow

6. (tie) Brad Maddox
6. (tie) Fandango
6. (tie) Austin Aries

9. AJ Lee
10. (tie) CM Punk
10. (tie) Big E Langston
10. (tie) Bobby Roode
10. (tie) Alberto Del Rio

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list (voting guidelines and scoring methods can be found here). No one has found the brakes on the runaway train that is Daniel Bryan, but one good week is all that separates 7th place from 2nd.

1. Daniel Bryan - 137 points
2. AJ Lee - 50.875

3. Seth Rollins - 50

4. Dean Ambrose

5. Antonio Cesaro - 44
6. Fandango - 44

7. Damien Sandow - 41.03
8. CM Punk - 39.75

9. Paul Heyman - 36

10. Mark Henry - 29.5
