Ello there lads and lasses. Another month of wrasslin' and some more experience for me and a lot of fun as well. I decided to change my stage name from my regular name to Zeke Zshe, sounds a little better and the alliteration works I guess. I only had one show this month but it was a lot of fun. They gave me some creative freedoms and I did my best to work with them.
My gimmick for this show was that I hadn't been assigned a wrestler yet, so I was waiting on a wrestler to manage. I cut a promo in my pool about a luxurious lifestyle I could offer, etc. I then shot one in my dog's pool about how since they hadn't assigned me a manager I lost all of my riches. It was fun and got a mini-storyline across. You can see the promos at http://youtube.com/funkymunkywrestling if you want.
Was time for the show and I was given the freedom of selecting how the match would start, which I found to be an honor and also a lot of fun. I decided I would do a sitdown until I was assigned a wrestler, or I was just managing the next wrestler who walked through the curtain. It was going to be this Canadian wrestler who already had a valet and didn't want my services, simple and effective way to get the crowd to care about this mid-card match.
I cut my promo in the ring and it went really well, my best yet. I kept it short and hoped the sitdown would create even more heat. He came out and said he didn't want me as a manager and I said too bad. We worked a few spots where I hit the face, and the valet and I fought over who got to choke the face on the ropes, nothing too fancy but some solid stuff. When the finisher came I was to jump on the apron and distract the face, so I did and got punched in the face for it. Definitely the stiffest bump I've taken, but it's all good.
I had a great time at this show and it had given me more confidence which I'm not sure is a good thing, because I'm already a cocky bastard.
I didn't post the entire match just the promo and the bump, I hope you enjoy! (Link Card is Illinois' welfare system)
