WWE Main Event spoilers and open thread for July 17

We've got spoilers and an open thread for tonight's (July 17, 2013) episode of WWE "Main Event" from Providence, Rhode Island, featuring Christian vs. Fandango, and much, much more.

WWE Main Event comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (July 17, 2013) at 8 p.m. ET on ION Television from Providence, Rhode Island. As per usual, this episode was taped on Tuesday prior to the SmackDown tapings.

In lieu of a live blog, we're going to hit you with spoilers for tonight's show while also providing an open thread for discussion once the broadcast goes live.

- Christian def. Fandango in the long match, which seems like an interesting booking decision considering which one of these two has more upside than the other. Then again, as long as it's a good match, we should be satisfied. It's not like Main Event is getting huge ratings, right? On the other hand, they get better numbers than Impact.

- Layla & Natalya def. Aksana & Alicia Fox in a Diva's match satisfying the fact that these women have to wrestle at least a couple times a year. Okay, that's not really true, and it's good to see they're getting some time.

- Heath Slater vs. Justin Gabriel never finished because the Wyatt Family makes its first appearance on Main Event to destroy them. I can only assume it was done as another message to Kane, although I'm not sure how effective it would be in a spot like this. Still, WYATT FAMILY!!

Enjoy the show!
