One of the greatest wrestling minds of all time, Paul Heyman, was once asked in an interview, about selling tickets, and getting viewers interested. He replied saying " You have to answer 3 questions. Who are these guys?, Why are they fighting?, and why should I dish out 70 Bucks to see it". As im writing this, I have just turned off DIxie Carters pathetic excuse for wrestling, 49 minutes in. TNA, can no longer answer Paul Heymans 3 questions.
Going In, I knew things would be a bit different. I knew the 6 sided ring was gone, I knew Double J had packed his bags, and The immortal one had taken over. I tuned in, hoping to see something awesome, and yeah...... We start off with some guys I know, Devon, Bubba, Mr.Kennedy, Luke Gallows, and there going to in a match against sting, cool! And who the fuck is he tagging with?? This fat dude, ( please forgive me if this guy is like super over in the IWC, this is just my observation ), who looks like hes 50, and waaaay out of shape. But still, two of my favorite guys from the attitude era, with the icon? Fuck Yeah....and its over in two seconds off a distraction. Great booking.
Heres another thing I noticed. Have you ever liked a band in High School, then 20 years later, gone to a " reunion show " with just the original bassist, and they sound like shit?? Thats how I feel about TNA. Its like a nostalgia show, why the fuck is sting, a fucking old man getting ANOTHER title shot?? I dont know, but this was awful, Every Raw combined since punk left, has not been as bad as the 50 minutes I watched.
