The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2013-14 Season, Week 7

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV), the May 20th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact from May 23rd and the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday the 24th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Not underrated by us!

• Y2J eked out a win over Daniel Bryan. Because...smarks.

• You like the way Mark Henry yells, and you like the way Seth Rollins flies around like Mark Henry is yelling at him.

• Wins and loses don't matter if you're a complete badass in the wrestling ring, or on the dance floor. Something tells me Cesaro would be a beast on the dance floor, too.

• AJ (the WWE female one) and the man she has trapped in her friendzone tied for seventh with the Dirty Heel who doesn't corner ring announcers on national television.

• Everybody else who wrestled during the week under consideration tied for tenth. Every one.

Our annual list (overall instructions on joining in on the vote and how that determines these Standings can be found in last week's post here) is starting to take meaningful shape. How will the first WWE PPV move things around?

While we're on the subject of PPVs, I want to ask everyone what they think about our Sunday publishing schedule and those events that fall on the same day. Last week saw a fairly significant drop in poll and comment votes. Whether that's just because the post doesn't get a marquee spot and slips down the page faster in the hectic publishing schedule of a PPV Sunday, or if folks are confused about which week they're supposed to include the PPV in their vote, I'm not sure.

Would it make sense to run on Saturday on those weeks, giving folks an extra day to vote before they get distracted by the event results? I thought about Monday, but I still don't think we're getting a prime layout position on Monday, and having some weeks come out on the weekend and others not seems extra distracting. Or just chill out, leave it alone and recognize that PPV weekends will have lower vote totals?

What do you all think?

And what are you all going to vote for? Extreme Rules and The Shield's big night, or Brock Lesnar's big win? How about the newest Paul Heyman guy and DAT SIX MAN on Raw? Maybe Gunnar's big return on Impact (sorry, Flyingpigs - your favorite promotion makes it too easy sometimes)?

Let's do this!
