Now that WrestleMania 29 is in the books, let's take a look at what the future holds for the WWE come Monday, April 8th, 2013:
WWE'S annual "spring cleaning." The weeks after WrestleMania is generally the time that the WWE tends to "future endeavor" several talents to make room for incoming NXT wrestlers (more on that later). Although the potential roster cuts points to the lower-card (does the name JTG ring a bell?), there are almost always surprise cuts and I expect none other than Cody Rhodes to be one of the three or four main roster talent to get the pink slip along with several other NXT talent.
Potential NXT call-ups. With the WWE releases come promotions from the NXT roster. Look for the likes of Kassius Ohno (former Ring of Honor standout Chris Hero), Adrian Neville, and Leo Kruger to light up the WWE main roster very soon.
New rivalries. Now that such part-timers will be leaving for the time being (for example, The Rock will start shooting the film Hercules while Chris Jericho will be performing with his band Fozzy), this will mean potential new feuds for several WWE wrestlers. Imagine John Cena vs. CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio vs. Mark Henry, and Randy Orton vs. Big Show?
