WWE
Welcome back to another edition of "Slapstick Saturday," Cagesiders, where your old pal Hulk Holland pokes fun at every botch, blooper and bomb the world of professional wrestling has ever given us.
I can't stop laughing.
Remember back before WrestleMania 21, held on April 3, 2005 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, when WWE went "Hollywood" on us? The marketing push featured a series of spoof videos on popular films like Braveheart, Taxi Driver, When Harry Met Sally and Pulp Fiction, among others.
The General did a nice rundown on the top five right here.
What you see there, is the finished product, but like any production in Hollywood, there's plenty of stories to be told on the cutting room floor. With that in mind, WWE released a selection of bloopers from the aforementioned videos that include all the usual screw-ups you would expect during filming.
See for yourself.
I've seen this a few times over the years and Flair on the donkey gets me every time. Stubborn mule vs. stubborn mule. Perhaps "The Nature Boy" finally met his match?
Woo!
