On this date in ECW history, March 4 of 2008, Chavo once again defeated Punk via frog splash...

It wasn't that long ago, folks.

He may be trotting around the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universe as the Best in the World, the God of Wrestling now, but back on March 4, 2008, he would get pinned by none other than Chavo Guerrero (yeah, that guy now hanging out in the IMPACT zone) for the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) world title.

For the third straight time.

Punk coughed up the strap to Guerrero in a no disqualification match back on January 22 (who had a little help from Edge), then failed to get it back in a curtain-jerking performance at No Way Out just under a month later.

Finally, on this date in ECW history, Chavo once again defeated Punk via frog splash, putting an end to their short feud and moving on to bigger and better things (literally), battling Kane at WrestleMania XXIV and losing in just eight seconds.

See Punk get punked, in the clip below:

The best in the world? Not in 2008. My, how times have changed.
