Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the results of last week's voting, and how that effected our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - the February 25th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact Wrestling from the 28th and the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday March the 1st.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
I think Ricardo may be on to something about last week's winner:
...omg!!! I just realized! What if Zeb Coulter was Jack Swagger's Eagle all along?!?! #SiThePeople— Ricardo Rodriguez(@RRWWE) February 20, 2013
Instead of the bullets that I'm not sure anyone reads (forgive me for the pity party tone I fear this week's S3 may take. The counter and compiler feels a bit grumpy. #FirstWorldProblems), I have a strong suspicion that the week-long poll got a lot of action based off of the Raw episode that should be under consideration for this week.
Maybe I'm wrong and people loved John Cena no-selling his team's loss at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) and announcing his excitement about "Twice in a Lifetime" at Wrestlemania XXIX. I know I loved Punk throwing down the spinner belt and saying "I want that one" to Rock and his new strap at the end of the February 18th show.
But they sure did get a lot of votes after their classic on the Feb. 25th episode. Now...
For one thing, I can't prove the clicks weren't for their showings Feb. 18 through 24.
(B) I do want to make sure that the standings are just a bit of fun and not all TEH INTERNET = SERIOUS BUSINESS.
(3) If people voted last week for this week, then they're also going to vote this week for next week, etc. and it will all come out in the wash.
Anyway, here's how it looks with the 80ish poll votes counting as three comment votes. If you believe this to be an outrage that must be handled in a different fashion, comment below, or email or tweet using the fancy-schmancy new SBNation byline links.
Okay, just one bullet...
- Potential poll voting misunderstandings had no effect on the manager stomping the wrestler, though. While credit is undoubtedly due to Zeb, I'm not sure if that bodes well for Swagger beyond this feud. We (THE PEOPLE) shall see.
The S3 - Week Ending February 24
1. Zeb Coulter
2. CM Punk
3. Seth Rollins
4. Dean Ambrose
5. Jack Swagger
6. (tie) John Cena
6. (tie) Big Show
6. (tie) AJ Lee
6. (tie) Brad Maddox
6. (tie) Roman Reigns
Nothing much to see in our annual standings. A primer on how they and the weekly S3 are tallied can be found here. I do want to get to the expanded metrics that "Cagesider with my favorite profile pic", Manolo Has Pizzazz, and I were talking about a while back, but see the above grumbling about giving Cranky Vince a run for his money these days. I've been busy and stuff.

5. AJ Lee - 136.5
6. Damien Sandow - 122.33

If you want to vote for the official week of February 25 - March 3 in Anno Domini two thousand and thirteen, you can review all the action with cSs' usual array of live blogs, video clips and analysis for Raw, Main Event, Impact and Smackdown.
Or just vote based on whatever the hell you want to - I'm pretty sure you can do that in Jack Swagger's America.
