The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the Week Ending Mar. 10th and Last Week's Winner

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the results of last week's voting, and how that effected our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - the March 4th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw,Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact Wrestling from the 7th,the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday March the 8th and TNA's Lockdown pay-per-view (PPV)..

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

S3 weekly winner, runaway S3 Performer of the Year winner and Dude of the Week?

This break downs fairly straightforwardly...

• The top is made up of the guys who opened Raw with a bang and then stole it at the end.

• In the middle we have Dirty Dutch Mantel, representing the Old South, NWA smarks, and Claudio Castagnoli, representing the Northeast, Chikara/RoH smarks.

• This is followed by what I like to think of as the Rancho King section. (In the event of the disappearance of Ms Lee and/or Mr Maddox, Cageside Seats, Mr Rueter and the S3TM are in no way affiliated with Mr King)

• This week's top ten closes with proof that we in the internet wrestling community (IWC) agree that grown men have the right to grow facial hair.

The S3 - Week Ending March 3

1. CM Punk
2. John Cena

3. Brock Lesnar
4. HHH

5. (tie) Zeb Colter
5. (tie) Antonio Cesaro
7. Brad Maddox

8. (tie) AJ Lee

8. (tie) Austin Aries

8. (tie) Bully Ray
8. (tie) Cody Rhodes

Aaaannnnnndddddd, I'd say a hundred point lead wraps this baby up. Not everything is decided, though! Cesaro displaces Jericho as the bottom of the annual ten remains in flux. You can read about the maths behind these things here.

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending March 3

1. CM Punk - 281 points
2. Daniel Bryan - 181
Dolph Ziggler - 149.5
Austin Aries - 143
5. AJ Lee - 138
Damien Sandow - 122.33
7. Alberto Del Rio - 92.25
Bobby Roode - 91
9. Antonio Cesaro
- 90.5
10. Big Show - 89

The week under consideration gives us a lot to chew on. Wrestlemania is coming into focus. We had our first TNA PPV in a while, with a big title change and advancement of their biggest angle. What did you smarks make of all that?

Catch up with the always excellent Cageside Seats hubs and sections for each of the nationally televised shows. I find the video playlists especially helpful in jogging my memory without influencing my evaluation. You can find the one for Raw here, Main Event here, Impact here and Smackdown here. There isn't a playlist for Lockdown, but all the pertinent info can be found here.

Thanks for reading, clicking and commenting - see you next week!
