On February 15, 2004, Eddie Guerrero pins Brock Lesnar at "No Way Out" to become WWE Champion.
On February 15, 2004, over 11,000 pro wrestling fans packed the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) No Way Out pay-per-view (PPV); featuring a blindfold match between Jamie Noble and Nidia.
Just kidding.
The blindfold match did go down at this event, but the big story here was the headlining bout featuring Brock Lesnar, who was coming out of a feud opposite Kurt Angle and putting his WWE Championship on the line, against Eddie Guerrero.
Guerrero had finished up his run as a tag team champion in Los Guerreros, then again with Tajiri, to enjoy a brief stint as United States Champion. "Latino Heat" would lie, cheat and steal his way to the main event of No Way Out and not just defeat Lesnar, but pin him with a frog splash, his finishing move, to take home the belt.
The celebration begins, in the video footage below:
Viva La Raza!
