It's been said that there are only two guarantees in life: death and taxes. Well, you can add "Tito Ortiz getting injured" to that list, as it was revealed today that a fractured neck will keep him from fighting Rampage Jackson at the Bellator 106 pay-per-view (PPV) that was scheduled for Nov. 2, 2013.
Because of that, the event will now air free on Spike TV.
If you remember, Ortiz and Jackson did some pro wrestling work for a couple weeks a while back to help promote the fight. Jackson joined the Main Event Mafia while Ortiz sided with the Aces and 8s. Neither did much of anything during their time there and Bellator quickly pulled them from all appearances, fearing the potential for injury.
Naturally, TNA President Dixie Carter took the chance to pile on when she took this shot on Twitter:
Funny she mentions karma because that's the same response UFC President Dana White had:
Oh boy KARMA is a BITCH :)— Dana White (@danawhite) October 25, 2013
As for Bellator 106, well, it's a solid enough card that will now be given away for free. I'm just wondering why no one from the Aces and 8s stepped up to offer to fight Rampage. Bully Ray would have given him a good round or two, right?
