The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2013-14 Season, Week 28

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year. The top ten from last week and the year-to-date are below.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised pro wrestling shows - the October 14th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact from October 17th and the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday the 18th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Two times in the S3, two 1st place finishes - get this man on the late night circuit!

(Really just fanservice for loyal voter Kanenite, but, dig that Shattered Dreams Production)

• The Bizarre One becomes only the third person with multiple first place finishes this year. His baby brother wasn't far behind, either, and seems top poised to earn a few more weekly firsts himself if they continue to book the Rhodes as they have.

• If the Swiss Superman is on television, smarks will vote for him.

• The World Heavyweight champion can always be counted on to put on a solid match, and if he wins on pay-per-view (PPV) enough, he even gets a few votes for it.

• I still don't understand the business decision, but Show was the last man standing on a PPV and he made the most of it.

• It was a week full of people doing good work - the boys in The Shield and the supporting cast of the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization just missed the top ten - as mere percentage points separated the log jam at the bottom of last week's top ten.

The S3: 2013-14, Week 27

1. Goldust
2. Cody Rhodes

3. Antonio Cesaro
4. Alberto Del Rio
5. Big Show

8. (tie) El Torito

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

#1 has certainly stalled, but no one can seem to put together enough consistent top finishes to close the gap.

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending October 12

2. AJ Lee - 78.875

3. Paul Heyman - 70
