Rewind back to 1999 and pro wrestling was smack dab in the middle of one of its biggest booms in history. Sure, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was on the decline and dying a slow and painful death, but they were still relatively strong and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) was all the rage.
The talent pool was deep, perhaps as deep as ever, and there was a place for any form of wrestler, both young and old.
Hey, nostalgia is always good for a cheap pop, right?
That's how we ended up getting shows like the infamous dud that took place on this date in history (Oct. 10, 1999), the one and only Heroes of Wrestling pay-per-view that featured a main event of Jim Neidhart and King Kong Bundy taking on Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Yokozuna.
The entire event wasn't a complete travesty but the headliner was just as bad as you would think it would be. Just watch the old and jacked up tape to see for yourself:
