Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - the Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week - the New Year's Eve episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact Wrestling from January 3rd and Friday the 4th's airing of WWE SmackDown.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
"Don't worry children, Papá Noel and Ricardo are okay"
(Why does the WWE signify face turns by bringing back a signature quirk of the character's introduction as a heel? First, Randy Orton's pose, now the wink.)
- Teddy bear attack for the win! And who knew that "lackey in peril" was the key to a successful babyface character? Nice showing in a slow holiday week for Alberto and Ricardo as rudos on Monday and technicos on Friday, and for Big Show as their foil on Smackdown.
- The Ziggler-Lee power couple brought it with their creepy backstage antics on Christmas Eve.
- WWE's top good guys, Cena and Santa, were knotted up in the bottom half of this week's Standings with TNA's best no-goodniks, the currently feuding Aries and Roode and the world famous AJ Styles impersonator, Frankie Kazarian.
- The Jersey Shore phenomena is still alive for some smarks, damnit.
The S3 - Week Ending December 30

Lots of action in the 3 - 10 slots of our annual Standings lately: Ziggler making moves, an AJ resurgence and a foreign takeover of the last two spots. Alas, despite Cagesider Satish_Ram's best intentions, Y2J has fallen from the top ten.
The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending December 30
1. CM Punk - 219 points
2. Daniel Bryan - 171.5
3. Dolph Ziggler - 141
4. Austin Aries - 134.5
5. AJ Lee - 133.5
6. Damien Sandow - 114.33
7. Big Show - 72.5
8. Bobby Roode - 71.5
9. Alberto Del Rio - 56.75
10. Antonio Cesaro - 56.5
Last week still saw WWE in a holding pattern before the push to WrestleMania (and the end of the first "season" of the S3) will begin in earnest. It still seemed like business as usual for TNA, which could be good or bad depending on your opinion of their status quo. What did you make of pro wrestling product served up to us for New Year's? Jog your memory with the Cageside Seats' Week in Wrestling, then join the comment party with your vote.
