The most injury prone wrestler in pro wrestling has reportedly injured himself again.
While most of the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) roster was in Orlando, Florida for the live No Surrender go home edition of Impact Wrestling last night (Sept. 6, 2012), Kurt Angle was working a house show in Dalton, Georgia. He was in the main event working a match against Mr. Anderson but they ended it after roughly six minutes or so, which made it the shortest match of the evening.
Considering its spot on the card, that was unusual.
A fan in attendance filed a report with PW Torch, however, and may have cleared up the confusion and shed light on Angle suffering an injury:
After the match, a member of Aces & Eights came out and security stopped him at the gate. Angle said if he wanted his ass kicked, let him get it kicked and they let him in the ring. They fought for a little bit until another member came in the ring and jumped Kurt. Anderson came in after that and took care of that guy. The two guys ran out of the ring and Anderson called them pussies. During this, I saw Angle talking to someone outside the ring, then some people came down the ramp and helped Kurt out of the ring. He was helped up the ramp by two people, and it looked like he was favoring a leg.
Other reports have surfaced with similar stories.
Meanwhile on Impact Wrestling last night, Angle was being paired up with AJ Styles for a tag team championship match at No Surrender on Sunday night (Sept 9) against titleholders Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Does this injury put that match in doubt?
You would think, but we're talking about Kurt Angle here. He won an Olympic Gold Medal with a freaking broken neck.
