Randy Savage may have advanced all the way to the finals in the Cageside Seats Greatest Wrestler Tournament but his match with Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 7 has fallen in the Cageside Seats Greatest Matches Tournament, losing to the CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan match from Over the Limit 2012.
Maybe it's the demographic here, maybe it's an age thing, or maybe one was simply better than the other but "CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan, Over the Limit 2012" has defeated "Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior, WrestleMania 7" to advance to the Round of 32 in the Cageside Seats Greatest Matches Tournament.
The final tally was 47-25.
Arguments for Punk vs. Bryan seemed to center around the fact that well, the match itself was simply better than Savage vs. Warrior, which was fine for what it was, but remembered far more for the memorable scene that came immediately after it ended.
Had it not been for Miss Elizabeth emotionally reuniting with Savage by saving him from Sensational Sherri's abuse, would we really remember Warrior kicking out of five Elbow Drops? Would we remember so fondly?
Those are legitimate questions but either way, Punk vs. Bryan continues on.

Remember to vote in today's (Sept. 28, 2012) match-up pitting number five seed "Eddie Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko, ECW TV 1995" taking on number 12 seed "Hart Foundation vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, and Legion of Doom, Canadian Stampede 1997."
