Cageside Seats Week in Wrestling: Sept. 16 to Sept. 22

Last week, WWE kicked off the week with Night of Champions. We were treated to some fine matches that carried over into Raw and SmackDown, while TNA Impact brought us a few moments of excitement.

-- Night of Champions (Sept. 16)

  • Zack Ryder won a 16-man Battle Royal to earn a shot at the WWE United States Championship.
  • The Miz defeated Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and Sin Cara to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
  • Kane and Daniel Bryan defeated Kofi Kingston and R-Truth to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.
  • Antonio Cesaro defeated Zack Ryder to retain the WWE United States Championship.
  • Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler.
  • Eve Torres defeated Layla to win the WWE Divas Championship.
  • Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
  • CM Punk wrestled to a draw via double pinfall with John Cena for the WWE Championship.
