It seems we do indeed smell what The Rock is cooking.
At least in regards to his being matched up against Chris Jericho, who proved to be an extremely strong four seed. In fact, he nearly gave "The Great One" the honor of being the first one seed to be knocked out of the Cageside Seats Pro Wrestling Tournament.
But while it was close, "The Brahma Bull" prevailed, scoring a 104-98 victory to advance to the Elite Eight.
Although I mostly hate the terminology used to describe the pro wrestling fanbase, because I think it's far too confining and simply sells everyone short, the so called "smart marks" were out in full effect in an attempt to vote Jericho into the next round. And considering Undertaker is the guy waiting there, it's not out of line to think "Y2J" could have made the Final Four had he managed to swing the upset on Rock.
But it didn't happen and now we get Rock vs. Undertaker next week.
After the jump, check out the vote tally list and remember to vote in the final Sweet Sixteen match-up later today pitting André the Giant vs. Gorgeous George.
