Maybe this is part of Daniel Bryan's anger management therapy?
During last night's (Aug. 6, 2012) episode of Monday Night Raw, Bryan tried to position himself to become the fourth man in the CM Punk vs. Big Show vs. John Cena WWE championship match at Summerslam on Aug. 19, 2012, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Instead, Raw General Manager AJ Lee booked him to take on Kane.
This makes sense in a number of ways, even if it's not exactly what fans were hoping for. Kane and Bryan have history, some of it spurred by AJ herself and it's beyond clear that AJ is trying to make Bryan as miserable as possible. This is a good way to do that.
Kane also works as the big monster who can do the dirty work of Charlie Sheen, assuming WWE is still planning to run an angle with him at the event. There's nothing that has happened to make us think otherwise but plans change constantly.
We shall see.
After the jump, check out the updated Summerslam 2012 match card.
WWE SUMMERSLAM 2012 MATCH CARD
