Despite Hulkamania Hate running wild all over the site, Hulk Hogan has won his Sweet Sixteen match-up against Roddy Piper and advanced to the Elite Eight in the Cageside Seats Pro Wrestling Tournament.

It was close at times but ultimately, the Hulkster prevailed by a final score of 97-65.

It shouldn't be such a surprise, really, considering Hogan entered the tourney as the number one overall seed fresh on the heels of winning our poll for the most popular pro wrestler poll. Still, he's reviled around these parts (aside from Jesse Holland, who is on vacation and didn't get the chance to champion his boy), but managed to win by 32 votes nonetheless.

You have to admit that's impressive.

More than a few of you have vowed not to vote for him again but we'll see if that's just big talk when he takes on the winner of the André the Giant vs. Gorgeous George match in the next round.
