Oh, that Brock Lesnar.
Making his debut the day after WrestleMania X8 and then headlining the big show one scant year later, Lesnar was the most quickly pushed wrestler in the history of WWE.
He won the title at WrestleMania XIX, beating out Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. He held onto the strap until Vengeance a few months later where he lost it back to the Olympic hero with The Big Show thrown in for good measure. Also, on the card was McMahon defeating one-legged wrestler Zach Gowen.
Lesnar and Angle had a friendly rivalry, though, up until Vince McMahon butted his head in. Lesnar demanded a rematch, Angle agreed up but McMahon showed up to say Angle had actually said he didn't want to give the former champ a rematch.
Angle denied it, Lesar was pissed and challenge Vinny Mac to a match. Meanwhile, the two were placed in a tag match against A Train and The Big Show. The fan favorites won but not without some confusion. It led to an F5 on Angle and the next week saw a steel cage match between Lesnar and McMahon with Angle as the guest referee.
Filmed on August 5, 2003 -- but airing on August 7 -- the main event of Smackdown! saw Lesnar turn his back on his competitive friend and align himself with the devil.
Also, how insane does McMahon's body look? Cheese and rice, he must have been doing some crazy ... weight training during this time.
Check out the match after the jump, Cagesiders.
