Even on his days off, John Cena continues to disrespect WWE Champion CM Punk.
As noted in the NXT spoilers, Punk made a surprise appearance at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, during the NXT tapings. He quickly found himself partnered with Seth Rollins -- or Tyler Black for Ring of Honor (ROH) fans -- facing off against Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno -- or Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero, respectively.
While WWE is not able to show us the match itself (thanks to backwards regional contracts), they did release a video from afterwards. It seems Cena will be appearing on NXT on Sept. 20. Just listen to those fans cheer! They must really love the "Dr. of Thuganomics" in Orlando.
However, it seems that WWE has tried to pull a fast one on its fans. Taking a look at a fans recording of the post match celebration and interruption, the response is vastly different. I don't believe there is a single fan cheering when Cena's face appears onscreen.
There's subtle manipulation of the truth and there is outright propaganda. I'm not sure who WWE is trying to fool with this. Those present at these tapings are most likely going to be the same people there in late September. I don't think they are going to change their minds on Cena in a month.
