The Rock claims torn hamstring during WrestleMania 28 match with John Cena

To hype up yesterday's (Aug. 25) replay of The Rock vs. John Cena main event at WrestleMania 28, The Rock was tweeting his thoughts about the match. While most of them were little more than telling his fans how excited he was to be a part of the moment, there was certainly one that stood out:

Cena leaps 15ft & crashes down on the back of my neck - tearing my right hamstring. Intense pain.. #IFinishedTheMatch

This is professional wrestling, so there is always the chance that "The Brahma Bull" is simply working the fans over. There haven't been any reports to be seen yet stating The Rock was working hurt just to finish the match. It does seem a bit odd this is only coming out now.

Assuming this is true though, then it is certainly impressive of The Rock.

To be able to fight through a hamstring tear and deliver in the clutch is what makes The Rock one of the best in the business. While the beginning of the match was unnecessarily slow, the ending truly saved it. If The Rock finished the match on one good leg, then a salute to him.

What do you think, Cagesiders? Is it all just a work, or could there be any truth to what The Rock says?
