CHIKARA had a doubleshot of shows this weekend as they gear up for next month's huge three-night King of Trios extravaganza.
But first, a Young Lions Cup X winner had to be crowned.
16 men entered but only one could emerge as champion. This weekend, four men were whittled down to two and then finally one.
There were CHIKARA veterans "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti and Jakob Hammermeier taking on Anthony Stone and ACH, respectively.
Seriously, if you haven't see ACH of Anarchy Championship, Beyond Wrestling and Absolute Intense Wrestling fame wrestle, you're missing out.

So ACH came up short. Sad face. But "Young Simba" still has a bright, bright future ahead of him. His run should lead to more appearances with CHIKARA and he will also be making his internet pay-per-view (iPPV) debut next month at Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor X.
And I guess, congratulations to Angelosetti...
The other big thing to come out of the shows are Quackenbush's use of some pretty rulebreaker-like behavior. It was enough for partner Jigsaw to admonish him. Has GEKIDO finally gotten under his skin and revealed his true nature?
Was that their plan all along? Not to destroy CHIKARA but to make its heroes destroy themselves?
